No, he is not my new bundle of joy but he is my friend Jen’s new bundle of joy. Some of you met Jen at my mini sessions this fall as she assisted me. What can I say about Jen - other then she is an awesome person and a wonderful mother. You have to check out her blog as I love how she writes about her everyday life and makes me just laugh out loud on some of her thoughts. She is a mom of 3 now and has two adorable older girls. It has been nice to know someone who also has a love of photography and was also expecting at the same time. Though hers has already ended and I still have about 2 months left… This was a great opportunity or reality check for me when I got to meet Finn (7 days old) and the balance of more then 1 child in the house!! Here is a little sneak peak for Jen and her family!
It has been almost 1 month since I truly took my camera out and I missed it tremendously. But I did realize it was hard to do some of the shots with a much bigger belly plus the baby was kicking up a storm!!

so here are just a few more as promised of our little adventure last week. Now the weatherman did say it was going to be sunny and at least 35 degrees! That so was not the case and our little fun session lasted about 10 minutes. It was fun to play with fellow photographer Christina and her two little ones, Taylor and Addison (I don’t have any of Taylor to share as time was short and Ava was also not in the mood at looking at the camera)… I have to say though what I learned that morning was I loved getting out and trying new things, of trying to put into play a certain look that I was trying to capture. And most of all to just have fun with no pressure of capturing that perfect shot! I think in order to stay fresh and in love what you do in photography it is always a good thing to take break from the norm and just play around.

Loved her little dress...

Playing with some balloons (on a very windy morning!)

Just trying some different textures and finishes in photoshop here.
Thought I would try something a little different then I normally do with photographs. More to share of our cold morning with Ava, Addison and Taylor to come later!

Miss Addison - she is the adorable daughter of fellow photographer Christina. Christina invited me up to play a bit at her new studio that is opening this month. It is fabulous!! I haven’t taken my camera out for awhile so I just had to grab some of sweet Addison. This is what I learned - after about 20 minutes with a 19 month old I was out of breath. I am now 7 months pregnant and really feeling winded these days. I have a few projects lined up while I am pregnant but things will start to slow down and I am sure once this little one arrives there will be lots of pictures to share. (we don’t know what we are having so if you have any good names we sure could use the help, especially with girl names!)
Update to 2010 schedule: Due to my pregnancy I have decided to take the last trimester off to enjoy my last few “only child” moments with Ava. That and it gets a little harder to be on the belly chasing little ones to photograph. I will be taking an extended maternity leave through the summer with a only a few sessions that I have planned. I will be returning in September but my schedule will be more limited with the new baby. Most of my sessions will be in September and October. Again I will not being doing any sessions after Nov. 15th and the whole month of December. If you are interested in a session in the fall please contact me and I will add your name to the waiting list. I will email those first on available sessions before posting on my blog.

Wow, what a year it has been for 2009! I have been truly blessed this year to get to know all the wonderful families that I was able to capture this year. As I was putting this slide show together it was just amazing to see some of the families from the beginning of the year all the way to the end. Especially those where I did their maternity images and then newborn plus others throughout the year. It is amazing that so many of the families have grown and expanded and of course those that are starting adventures out on their own. I have learned so much this year not only in a photography aspect or business aspect but in a personal way as well. Take time to enjoy your loved ones at all times! These moments will not always be here but it is such a treasure to see them over and over again. While I sign off for the year 2009 as most of you know my life will be taking a major change in 2010 with the arrival of our second child in early April. I will be taking a lot of time off this year but I will update that in a later post. Today I want to reflect on 2009 and the families that made my job so enjoyable!
