I can’t believe that Gavin is 1 already!!  Just last year I was taking his pictures when he was 8 days old!  I remember his session very clearly as it was the day we found out we were pregnant with Ivy!!  A lot has changed in a year for all of us!  Gavin is so cute and so much like his brother (as in moves a lot but I usually got Brennan to stop:)  We headed over to the park for a play time and then back for a few with Mom!  Loved all those!  I have to give Gavin’s Dad (Metro City Carpet) a huge shout out as his business did all the flooring in our house this summer!  They installed gorgeous wide plank dark flooring on the main level and wonderful carpet upstairs.  I soooo wish I knew this when we lived in our old house!  They have a great selection of woods, laminate and carpet at great prices and really the service does not even compare to anyone else.

Cole - such a good brother already!

I was so happy that I got to meet this little guy!  He had a rough start shortly after he was born but he is a tough little one and has done a great job in his recovery!  He drank about 6 ounces before we even got started - the most ever so he must have sensed that he was in for something new!  He has the sweetest and most caring parents and also a big brother Cole who did an awesome job of holding him for a few seconds!  I know Mom has been patiently waiting so here is lots to enjoy!

I can’t believe that this is the second maternity session that I have done with this family!  She was my very first subject for maternity photography and made it so easy that now maternity sessions are really one of my favorite type of sessions!  Soon their little one will here and I can’t wait!  They meet me at 7:00 am and I loved the time - we were quick as not everyone was worn out from the long day and we were done before the rain and humidity hit!

We had the most beautiful weather for our session as we canceled one of the previous ones due to this humidity - pregnancy and humidity do not mix well and I prefer to have everyone a little more comfortable (including me!).  I love maternity sessions - the main reason I love them is that the focus is on the Mom for a change - and while we may feel like we do not look our best 8 months pregnant (really all of you look beautiful!) it is a wonderful time to reflect on what is about to happen and enjoy a little time focused on you - it is also a reminder for those who are expecting their second child that their family is truly going to change and it is a great way to document this one more time.   I can’t wait for their little one to arrive (soon) - she was only 3 weeks away from her due date and she is just gorgeous!
